Scott D. Garbo joined Spies, Powers & Robinson, P.C. in January of 2008. Mr. Garbo earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in General Business Administration, Pre-Law in May 2004 from Michigan State University, and studied abroad at John Cabot University in Rome, Italy. Mr. Garbo obtained his Juris Doctor in May 2007, graduating cum laude from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law.
Mr. Garbo was an Associate Editor for the University of Detroit Mercy Law Review and was the President of the St. Thomas More Society. He enhanced his legal education and experience throughout law school by interning for a Circuit Court Judge in Detroit, Michigan, and through his employment as a law clerk for Vandeveer Garzia, P.C. While in law school, Mr. Garbo attained membership into the Frank Murphy Honor Society for a top ten percent ranking; he was awarded the Dean Academic Scholarship; and he earned Book Awards for his academic achievement and services.
