Karen E. Wilcynski joined Spies, Powers & Robinson, P.C. in July 2006. Ms. Wilcynski obtained her Juris Doctor in May 2005, graduating summa cum laude from Seattle University School of Law. She also attended Seattle University for her undergraduate degree, graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Psychology.
While attending law school, Ms. Wilcynski worked as a judicial extern for the Honorable James L. Robart in U.S. District Court, Western District of Washington. She also worked as a law clerk for the Public Interest Law Group, PLLC, Heart of America Northwest and Law Advocates, where she worked on a variety of environmental, employment and constitutional law matters. During the summer following her second year of law school, Ms. Wilcynski worked for Justicia para la Naturaleza, a non-profit law firm in San Jose, Costa Rica, that focuses on international environmental law. Ms. Wilcynski also participated in the International Human Rights Clinic and was an invited finalist to the Jim Bond Moot Court Competition.
Upon completion of law school, Ms. Wilcynski moved to Boulder, Colorado where she worked as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable D.D. Mallard in Boulder District Court.
